It was a bittersweet day at Cortland Elementary in the Lakeview Local School District. The excitement of summer vacation was overshadowed for some by the closing of the 112 year old school. The district is facing a 3 point 5 million dollar deficit by the end of the 2013 school year. The closure will save Lakeview 500-thousand dollars a year.
