Law enforcement officers are getting 'street smart.'

Officers with the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group, or TAG, met Tuesday to discuss trends in drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Jill Lewis, ASAP coalition coordinator, said Operation Street Smart will help officers remain up-to-date in their information regarding the drugs that are on the streets and in homes.

"Officers will discuss street drugs, teach our participants how to identify substances and educate parents on what to look for in their teenager's room," Lewis said.
