BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - A northeastern Pennsylvania college student is facing more charges related to a string of robberies set up through the online classified site Craigslist.
Twenty-1-year-old Corey Jackson was arraigned Tuesday in Northampton County on charges including robbery and simple assault.
Investigators say Jackson used the Web site to post bogus sale ads and then robbed the people who responded or offered to buy items and simply stole them instead. Police say Jackson would meet his victims and attack them with pepper spray before making off with the cash or jewelry.
Jackson is also charged in his hometown of Philadelphia. He was caught there in September after police set up a sting.
Jackson is a student at East Stroudsburg University in the Poconos. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
