It's a tough Thanksgiving for one Lawrence County family. Fire broke out in their home on Beechwood Road in Wilmington Township Thursday afternoon.
The first firefighter on the scene reported that flames had spread throughout the home.
It was quickly contained by firefighters, including assistance from Volant, Neshannock and Pulaski township.
The fire chief said it appeared the fire started in the wood burner of the chimney.
No one was in the house at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
He said there was fire, smoke and water damage inside the house.
An inspection is still pending, but the chief said it may be a total loss, even thought the structure is still standing with the roof and walls intact.
