Houston Personal Injury Law Firm Launches Class Action Lawsuit Against Red Robin

Posted: Updated:

Williams Hart announce class action lawsuit against Red Robin for working waitstaff too much around the nation

Houston, TX – August 12, 2019 /MarketersMedia/

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, established in 1969, is now under scrutiny from the Houston based personal injury law firm, Williams Hart due to allegations of working waitstaff too hard and too much and making staff members clock out and work without pay. While the allegations are focused on the Houston based franchise currently, the law firm plans to take their inquisition across the country to see if similar practices were used at other Red Robin locations.

“If you are a current or former employee at Red Robin, the casual dining restaurant, you may be included in the Red Robin Waitstaff class action lawsuit,” stated John Eddie Williams, personal injury attorney at the Williams Hart law firm. “If your employer forced you to work while off the clock or if they denied you the wages you had earned, we can help you recover compensation.”

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, commonly referred to as just “Red Robin,” consists of 572 casual dining restaurants with company-owned locations in 39 states and 89 franchised locations in an additional 16 states in the U.S. The Red Robin company merged with the Snyder Group in 2000 and was taken public in 2000.

After going public, many workers from Red Robin locations claimed the restaurants were understaffed and employees had the hours they were scheduled cut. Workers have also claimed that Red Robin management forced them to clock out but continue working without receiving pay. Public records for the same time period also show a significant increase in executive compensation.

One former employee from Red Robin has currently filed a collective-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston, and others who may have suffered the same treatment are encouraged to do the same or to contact Williams Hart to learn more about their rights.

Additional information about the class action lawsuit and the services offered by Williams Hart a Houston personal injury law firm can be found by visiting their website or reaching out to the legal team via phone or email.
