    The former chef at a Niles restaurant is back in jail two years after fleeing prosecution for an alleged jewel theft. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Wyatt McKay on Wednesday set bail at $1 million for 46-year-old Daimer Cescon.     Several people are in custody as the investigation continues into the deadly terror attack in Manchester, England.  Officials say they no longer believe there was a small terror cell.     Austintown Local Schools Superintendent Vince Colaluca is being named as the new superintendent for the Mentor Public School System according to an official from that district. Colaluca confirmed to 21 News on Wednesday that he interviewed for the superintendent 's post at that school district in Lake County, Ohio. An email from Executive Secretary to the Mentor School Superintendent says that Colaluca as been selected for the job and will be approved at a meeting today.

    People living in  hundreds of homes in the East Market Street area of Warren and Howland woke up in the dark Thursday morning after being hit by a power outage. Warren police called FirstEnergy after neighbors reported that a transformer blew out in the area of Broadway Avenue SE and Northwood Dr. SE.     The Youngstown Bomb Squad has been dispatched to investigate the discovery of what is being described as a musical instrument case found outside a building in Warren. A security guard spotted the case near a pillar at the Gibson Building on East Market Street at around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Police and the fire department have been dispatched to the area, awaiting arrival of the bomb squad. It is not known what, if anything, is inside the case.

     Armour Eckrich Meats is recalling approximately 90,978 pounds of ready-to-eat sausage products distributed to food service customers, due to possible contamination from pieces of metal. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Wednesday that food service fully-cooked pork, turkey and beef breakfast sausage items were produced and packaged from April 26 through April 28, 2017.

    A Warren woman who was accused of ramming her car into her own sister has now been arrested in a prostitution sting conducted by Austintown Police. Brianna Reno, 23,  was booked into the Mahoning County Jail on Tuesday on charges of soliciting prostitution, possession of criminal tools and a probation violation.

Police say a man held up the Check Into Cash Title Loans office in the Crystal Spring Plaza on Elm Road NE at around 11 a.m. Employees say the suspect, whose face was covered, ordered everyone to get down on the ground before grabbing cash and running out of the business. Witnesses say the man drove away in a black Ford. No one was injured.

    A two car crash that shut down a busy highway in Trumbull County earlier this month is being called a case of road rage by state troopers who have now charged both drivers. The Ohio State Highway Patrol filed charges against two Warren men who they say were driving a pickup truck and SUV that collided and crashed on State Route 82 in Bazetta Township on May 8. William Elmore, 26, and Anthony Minotti, 21, are both charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
