Youngstown tavern raided Thursday

A local tavern was raided Thursday following a six-month investigation.

The Riverbend Tavern on Poland Avenue was raided by the Mahoning Valley Task Force following several undercover drug buys.

Police seized cocaine, marijuana, prescription drugs and video machines that pay out cash.

Bar owners Larry Meenachan, 58, and John Messer, 59, were both arrested.

Additional charges are expected for up to four others.
