GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania - Greenville police are investigating a five car accident that sent nine people to the hospital, including two infants.
It happened around 4:30 Saturday afternoon at Clinton Street and South Mercer Street.
Two vehicles were stopped at a red light in the left and right lanes of South Mercer Street. Two other vehicles in the left and right lanes were just about to stop behind them when they were slammed into by a fifth car. Police say the fifth car was traveling at a high rate of speed.
That collision caused the two cars to crash into the ones that had been stopped.
Six of the injured, including the infants, were treated and released at UPMC Greenville.
Three others were transported to a Pittsburgh Hospital.
