YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An apparent family dispute leads to a shooting in Youngstown.

According to Youngstown police, someone was banging on Keith Colvin's front living room window on Nelson Street on Friday night.

Colvin didn't know who it was, so he got his gun and put it in his pocket.

When he realized it was his nephew, Curtis Brooks, he went to the garage to speak with him.

Police say when Covlin went to lock the door, his nephew burst back in and began choking him.

Colvin allegedly pulled the gun and fired three times, possibly hitting Brooks in the abdomen.

According to police, Brooks ran across the front yard and fell. He was taken to Northside Medical Center.
