YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - For the first time in his seven plus years at Youngstown State, Jerry Slocum had to fill an assistant coaching vacancy on his staff.
After a few months of searching, it appears they have found their man.
The Penguins have hired Steve Hall who has spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Duquesne.
Originally from Detroit, Hall helped the Dukes to three post season tournaments and is one of the most decorated coaches to come out of the Motor City.
Hall played collegiately at the University of Washington and later transferred to Virginia Tech.
