YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - During the month of July, Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout Mahoning Valley will be selling icons for a $1 donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank as part of 21 WFMJ's Project: Feed Our Valley campaign.

The icons will be signed and hung in the restaurants and for every icon purchased, the Food Bank will be able to distribute $15 worth of food to those in need.

"We are grateful to 21 WFMJ for facilitating this year-round partnership with Dunkin' Donuts," said Mike Iberis, executive director, Second Harvest Food Bank. "This partnership is taking place at a great time of year because donations are typically down during the summer months and requests for food assistance increase with children out of school," said Iberis.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributes food to 153 hunger relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. These organizations include church pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens, shelters for battered women and after-school programs.

The Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation brings together a wide network of stakeholders, including franchisees, crew members and employees. The focus of the Foundation is to serve our neighborhoods by taking care of their basic needs – safety, hunger relief and children's health.
