BRACEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Braceville police raided a health spa in the township after gathering evidence that illegal activities may be going on.
Police raided the Four Season's Health Spa on State Route 5. Chief Bill Garro says a judge issued a search warrant after evidence showed there were most likely illegal activities taking place inside.
Two customers who were identified by police were questioned and sped away once outside. Others who pulled into the business quickly left once they noticed the flashing blue lights.
Computers, cash and other contraband such as log books were confiscated by police, They will take the computers to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations for analysis.
Experts will be looking for evidence of crimes, including the possibility of human trafficking.
"The human trafficking element is important because you don't want people here working against their will, especially used for prostitution. It's too early to say if that is going on now. We are going to thoroughly check the people employed here and any other person we've found on the premises since we arrived," Chief Garro said.
Braceville police towed two cars and arrested a woman for alleged prostitution. The woman's ID stated that her name was Kyung Hee Lee and she was 51-years-old. Officers don't know if the ID is fake.
The business, which advertises it's open seven days a week and operates from eight in the morning until midnight, was not open for business after the raid.
Chief Garro says if evidence shows crimes are taking place and it takes a civil abatement to close the facility, township trustees will most likely pursue that option.
