7 charged with cheating at Ohio's first casino

Updated:

CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities say seven people have been charged with cheating at Ohio's first casino.

The defendants are charged with cheating on games including blackjack, roulette and craps, including trying to increase or remove bets depending on the likely outcome.

The cheating occurred during the first month of operations at the Horseshoe casino in Cleveland, which opened May 14, the first of 4 casinos planned in Ohio.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced the indictments Tuesday in Cleveland.
