Man arrested after allegedly threatening a father and son with a BB gun

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police have arrested a man after he allegedly threatened a father and son with a BB gun.

According to police, 47-year-old Paul Latimer approached a father who was putting his young son into the car at the Bottom Dollar grocery store on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown.

Latimer lifted his shirt up revealing the handle of a black handgun. The father thought the gun was real and called 911 when Latimer left.

Austintown police found Latimer, picked him up, then transferred him to the custody of Youngstown police.

Latimer is charged with aggravated menacing and endangering children.
