YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The city of Youngstown is looking into a possible sale or lease of a popular downtown venue.
According to our print partner, The Vindicator, the city expects to hire a consulting firm next week to do an operational assessment of the Covelli Centre.
The center has never made enough money to cover the debt owed by the city since it was built in 2005.
Youngstown is paying about $920,000 this year for the center, about $335,000 to the loan it took out and over $500,000 in interest.
