YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Afternoon thunderstorms moved through the Valley this afternoon.

One of the first places hit was Craig Beach and other communities around Lake Milton.

Trees and wires were down, especially in the Grandview Avenue area. Some wires were sparking.

Wind damage and power outages were also reported in Milton, Canfield, Boardman, Austintown, Ellsworth, Jackson, Berlin, Beaver, Butler, Hanover and Goshen Townships.

At one point, approximately three thousand homes and businesses lost power.

Meterologist Mark Koontz will have more on the forecast tonight at eleven on 21 News.
