HICKORY TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania - A fire that broke out in Lawrence County Wednesday morning has been ruled an arson by police.

Crews were called to the scene of a mobile home fire around 9:30 a.m. at the Gas Light Mobile Home Park in Hickory Township.

Firefighters were unsuccessful in trying to suppress the flames and they soon erupted in the home.

According to a report, jewelry was taken from the mobile home and a fire accelerant that may have started the blaze was found as well.

The fire was fought for over two hours and virtually destroyed the home.

Police say the family was on vacation during the time of the incident.

There were no injuries reported. Police are continuing the investigation.
