SOUTHINGTON, Ohio - A Trumbull County man accused of killing his wife has been indicted on murder charges.

Sixty-Year-old Royce Honaker pleaded innocent to the charges on Thursday in Trumbull County Court.

On Tuesday, Honaker had called 911 stating that he had killed his wife. He then provided his address before abruptly hanging up.

Honaker had filed for divorce in April claiming his wife was extremely cruel and "engaging in patterns of behavior to annoy, molest, harass, and otherwise cause harm."

Honaker also requested a restraining order against his wife to keep her from selling items they both owned.

Sources tell 21 News Honaker recently purchased a surveillance system that he canceled the day before he allegedly shot his wife.

Bond for Honaker was set at $1 million.
