Coitsville Township Trustees going to voters for tax increase

Updated:

COITSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Coitsville voters will see a tax increase on the November ballot.

On Thursday morning, trustees voted to seek renewal of a four and a half mill levy and an additional one and a half mills.

The police chief tells 21 News that his department hasn't asked for more revenue in 20 years and he'd like to restore manpower that was cut 10 years ago.

The chief said he would like to return to having two officers on each shift instead of just one.
