Transcript: Great deal of Sandusky evidence unused

Updated:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Four days after former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky was convicted of sexually abusing 10 boys, a state prosecutor told a judge there was a "great deal" of incriminating evidence that didn't come up at trial.

A transcript unsealed Wednesday of a post-trial hearing doesn't specifically detail the unused information but concerns claims made by Sandusky's adopted son that he was also abused.

The June 22 hearing ended with a judge granting an order restricting release of information not used during the trial. It was prompted by a broadcast of Matt Sandusky's allegations of abuse by his adopted father.

Chief Deputy Attorney General Frank Fina told the court the investigation yielded a large amount of "highly incriminating" evidence that prosecutors opted not to present.

Jerry Sandusky is awaiting sentencing.
