COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - First-year Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has changed a lot of things with the Buckeyes this season.
One thing he can't alter, however, is that they don't get to play in a bowl.
So, due to NCAA sanctions, the Buckeyes have 12 games to show that they've gotten past last year's mountain of bad press, a beloved coach's departure, suspensions - and a 6-7 record.
Meyer has injected a new energy into the program, with a hurry-up offense that has invigorated the players and fans.
With quarterback Braxton Miller running the show and a defense updated with an influx of young talent, the Buckeyes are ready to open another season.
But even Meyer's not sure how they'll handle not having a championship on the line.
