PITTSBURGH (AP) - Mike Wallace thinks he's ready to face the Denver Broncos.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver says Monday there's no need to hold him back for Sunday's season opener in Denver despite a lengthy holdout that didn't end until last week.

Wallace says he felt "pretty good" in his first full practice since reporting to the team last Tuesday. The Pro Bowl player insists the Steelers don't need to "limit" him as he get up to speed on new offensive coordinator Todd Haley's playbook. Wallace says the coaching staff gave him "a lot to look at" on Monday but is encouraged by his progress.

The Steelers are hopeful linebacker James Harrison can also play against the Broncos. Harrison, who underwent minor knee surgery last month, went through most of practice on Monday and says there's been very little discomfort.
