Republican National Convention had little impact on voting intentions

Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Last week's Republican National Convention had minimal impact on Americans' voting intentions.

A Gallup Poll shows just about as many voters saying the convention made them less likely to vote for Mitt Romney as say it made them more likely to vote for him.

Key Independent voters were split, with 36% saying the convention made them more likely to vote for Romney and 33% saying it made them less likely. Thirty percent said they didn't know or that the convention made no difference.

21 News anchor Leslie Barrett is covering the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte and will have reports throughout the week.
