C-130s will remain at Youngstown Air Reserve Station for now

VIENNA, Ohio – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown has announced a strategic pause for the Youngstown Air Reserve station.

The measure will preserve the current number of C-130 planes and personnel at the air reserve station in Vienna for at least the next six months.

The Air Force had proposed a shift in aircraft that would have resulted in a loss of two of the C-130 planes.

The measure is in the six month budget deal passed by Congress this past week and is expected to be signed by President Obama.
