YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- More than 200 people took advantage of a safe surrender program in Youngstown.
During the three-day event last week, people with outstanding, non-violent misdemeanor warrants had the chance to turn themselves in and have their cases cleared.
Overall, 212 people turned themselves in clearing a total of 240 warrants.
Most of the warrants were on charges such as contempt of court, or failing to pay fines.
Police did arrest eight people, one of whom had been listed on The Vindicator's Top 5 Most Wanted.
