PITTSBURGH (AP) - Don't blame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for Pittsburgh's slow start.

Roethlisberger has been nearly unstoppable during the first three weeks of the season, averaging over 300 yards a game and throwing eight touchdowns against just one interception. He's currently second in the NFL in quarterback rating and has proven to be a quick study of offensive coordinator Todd Haley's complex scheme.

Wide receiver Mike Wallace says Roethlisberger is perhaps the hottest quarterback in the league and Roethlisberger's decision making has been solid while adjusting to Haley's offense. He's completing 68% of his passes so far, well above his career average of 63%, and is on pace to set career highs in yards touchdowns and fewest interceptions.

The Steelers (1-2) are off this week and host Philadelphia on Oct. 7.
