OH outdated 'Vote No' stickers get bumper brushoff

Updated:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio ballot committee Voters First is tackling Election Day confusion with a bucket and a scrub brush.

The labor-backed coalition that championed last year's successful campaign against collective bargaining limits with a "No on Issue 2" is behind a "Yes on Issue 2" this year.

This fall's Issue 2 is a proposed constitutional amendment to rewrite Ohio's redistricting process. It would transfer control over the drawing of legislative and congressional maps from federal and state elected officials to an appointed citizen commission.

Backers are hosting "scrub off Saturdays," including one Saturday morning in Columbus to remove anti-Senate Bill 5 bumper stickers and replace them with "Yes on Issue 2" stickers.

Opponents of Issue 2 argue proposed language is legally flawed and overly complex.
