Local motorcycle club raising money for Valley food banks

Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - About 200 riders declared war on hunger by raising money for local food banks.

The Dice Run put on by the Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club began at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna. Riders were escorted down the runway at the 910th Air Station.

There were four stops during the event. We caught up with some riders at the Austintown Quaker Steak and Lube.

Money raised will go to food banks in Ohio and Pennsylvania. "Anytime you can help the community and help the less fortunate that's what most of the bike organizations do is try to help out their community," said Chip Stork from the Green Knights.

Stork said most people never get an opportunity to ride their motorcycle on an actual air runway.

This was the first ride of what the Green Knights plan on making a yearly event.
