HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania state elections officials say they're pulling a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign targeted at educating voters about a photo ID requirement since it's now on hold.
Department of State spokesman Ron Ruman said Wednesday the state's ad agency has requested that stations take down radio and TV ads to avoid a misleading message.
The ads say voters must show a valid photo ID on Election Day. But a Commonwealth Court judge just ordered a halt to that requirement because he wasn't sure the state had made it possible for voters to easily get IDs before Nov. 6.
Ruman says revised radio and TV ads will air. He says the agency is pulling down billboards, but hasn't decided whether to replace them.
