GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania - High speed was a factor in an early morning accident that claimed the life of a Pennsylvania man.

It happened around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning near Greenville.

Authorities say 18-year-old Casey Wilkins of Grove City was driving his Cadillac south bound on Route 58 at a high rate of speed when he lost control and drove onto a residential property.

His car slid 75 feet, struck and uprooted an apple tree and then flipped over onto its roof.

His passenger, 22-year-old Willam Trgovic of Atlantic, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilkins was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Mercer State Police are investigating. They say neither man was wearing a seat belt.
