The Salvation Army in Mahoning County has extended its hours for parents to sign up. Tuesday is the last day Christmas applications will be accepted.
Families can sign up from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Mahoning County Area Services Building at 1501 Glenwood Avenue.
"It's just a last opportunity for anybody who's had it on their to-do list," said Major Valerie Kahn, Associate Area Service Coordinator.
Major Kahn expects the Salvation Army will help close to 1,200 families this coming holiday season.
