New bill would require public hearings on Ohio turnpike plans

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A local legislator will soon be introducing legislation regarding the possible outsourcing of Ohio's turnpike.

Ron Gerberry plans to introduce a bill along with Matt Lundy that would require public input on the possible outsourcing of the toll road.

The Ohio Turnpike Commission would be required to hold four public hearings within three months of the bill being enacted.

The hearings would be in geographically diverse locations in the state in the vicinity of the turnpike.
