SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly is trying to keep the fourth-ranked Irish focused going into their game against Pittsburgh.
Kelly is telling the unbeaten Irish to skip any discussion about being in the national championship picture. He's avoiding talking about how the last Irish team to start 8-0 stumbled at this point. And he's trying to get the Irish to play better at Notre Dame Stadium.
Notre Dame's average margin of victory at home is five points. The Irish are winning by 28 points on the road. Kelly says he thinks his team needs to play with more intensity.
Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst is worried about his own distractions. Tailback Ray Graham and two other players are facing misdemeanor charges. They deny the charges and will play Saturday.
