Few Ohio power outages remain from storm

Updated:

CLEVELAND (AP) - Nearly all power has been restored in northeastern Ohio following last week's superstorm Sandy.

FirstEnergy reported fewer than three dozen customers without electricity Wednesday morning.

Around 250,000 Ohio electricity customers were left in the dark after high winds from Sandy's outer bands uprooted trees and brought down power lines on Oct. 30. Most of the outages were in the Cleveland area, where crews have worked nonstop to restore it since then.

There were no reported problems with lingering power outages affecting the polls during Tuesday's election in Ohio.

The northeast is still struggling to recover from the devastating storm, which killed more than 100 in 10 states and left millions without power.
