Teen faces charges after fight in New Middletown

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - About 30 students blocked a New Middletown street as they gathered to watch a prearranged fight between two 16-year-olds.

The incident happened on Circleview Drive on Thursday afternoon.

A 16-year-old Springfield school student now faces assault and disorderly conduct charges.

New Middletown police say an on-going dispute between two teens escalated into the fight that others learned about through social media.
