Nebraska's Pelini: Sideline argument no big deal

Updated:

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is downplaying a sideline argument he had with safety Daimion Stafford that was captured on camera during Saturday's game against Penn State.

There have been other incidents involving Pelini's behavior on the sideline in the five years he's coached in Lincoln. Pelini said Monday he doesn't worry or care about the cameras pointed at him, and that he's not going to change his "emotional" behavior.

Cameras showed Stafford yelling and pointing his finger at Pelini after Penn State scored a second-quarter touchdown. Pelini said Stafford and other players were upset because of problems getting defensive calls to them from the sideline.

Pelini said no disrespect was intended by Stafford and that they laughed about the argument at halftime. Nebraska won 32-23.
