YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Some downtown Youngstown businesses will be dressing their windows for the holidays.

At the OH WOW! Gloria and Roger Jones Center for Science and Technology, Angelo La Marca is working on a window display. The theme of course for OH WOW! is science and technology.

Other businesses like the Lemon Grove are excited about the window decorating contest because it's another attraction to help make downtown festive for customers and another reason for people to visit downtown.

Lindsey Hughes, the Director of Events and Marketing for downtown Youngstown, tells 21 News that 40 businesses will be taking part in the window decorating contest.

The effort to make downtown more merry is part of the downtown holiday festival parade which includes a visit by Santa.

The winner of the window decorating contents will be announced after the tree lighting ceremony on December 1st.
