Man accused of soliciting sex with minors busted in online sting

A Webster, Texas man accused of soliciting sex from a woman posing as an underage girl on Facebook has been arrested.

Investigators said the two exchanged sexually-explicit messages and that 26-year-old Daniel Riekstins asked to meet the girl he thought was 15 so they could have sex.

Police said the 36-year-old woman posing as the minor never met him and contacted the authorities instead.

"He didn't deny the specific comments and messages I was showing him regarding this victim. He didn't deny those comments being made," Webster police Detective David Settles said.

Police said the woman decided to play detective and set this whole thing up after an acquaintance told her Riekstins had possibly been soliciting underage girls for sex on Facebook.

Police, who poured through at least 2,000 of Riekstins' Facebook pages, said he attempted to communicate with numerous other underage girls.
