Youngstown bar sues city, asks for injunction while it tries to renew liquor license

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown bar is suing the city over a liquor-license renewal.

Attorney David Betras is representing the Coconut Grove which is seeking monetary damages and an injunction banning the city from the interfering while the bar waits for the state to decide on whether to renew the its liquor license.

The bar was cited earlier in November for serving alcohol without a liquor license.

The Coconut Grove lost its license and was not allowed to serve alcohol until the application for renewal was decided.
