A Park and Recreation worker had to climb down a 30 foot blue spruce after the mechanical lift that brought him to the top of the tree stopped working.
The tree was donated by the Vecchiarelli family of McHenry Street.
The tree will be decorated for a formal lighting the first weekend in December.
