YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A project for engineering students at Youngstown State University took over the lobby of Mosur Hall on campus Tuesday.

The project required students to design, build, test and demonstrate a mini-golf hole.

First year engineering professor Kerri Meyers says the project had to include obstructions and elevation changes.

"We're trying to get them use to all the skills they'll need as future engineering students regardless of what discipline. They learn a lot about visualization and designing a project that they can then build and analyze," Meyers said.

The project also is a lesson in team work and communication.
