CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania - Police say a Lawrence County woman had her one-year-old daughter in tow when she shoplifted more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Wal-Mart then ran into the woods and hid from police.
Twenty-seven-year-old Sara Gasper of Ellwood City faces a December 17th hearing on retail theft, child endangerment and other charges stemming from the November 10th incident in Chippewa Township.
Police in Beaver County say the woman left the store without paying for items in her cart.
Police say they found Gasper three hours later hiding behind a tree in the nearby woods shortly after dark.
