CAMPBELL, Ohio - Campbell police are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday night.

Police tell 21 News they were called to the Kirwan Homes at around 8:15 p.m. for a man who had entered a home and collapsed on the floor.

Officers arrived to find James A. Hills, 47,  bleeding heavily from gunshot wounds.

The Mahoning County Coroner's Office reports Hills died from gunshot wounds to his back and abdomen.

Hill was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he died.

Sergeant John Rusnak says Hills described the suspect as a man wearing black from head to toe and told officers that he didn't know the man.

"We do have reports that somebody heard arguing in the area at the time, but that's really as much as we have," Sgt. Rusnak said.

Police found three shell casings in the parking lot and two spent bullets.

No suspects or motive have been determined at this time.
