Lone survivor from Warren animal cruelty case doing well

Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The only surviving animal from what authorities say appears to be an animal cruelty case is doing well.

Mocho was rescued from a Hamilton Street home in Warren on Wednesday afternoon.

Veterinarians say he is moderately underweight, but is expected to make a full recovery.

In all, nine cats and dogs were found dead in the home. Veterinarians say they appeared to have died from starvation.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed against the owners.
