YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A man accused in the shooting death of a Youngstown boy is deemed competent to stand trial next month.

Twenty-one-year-old Shawn Wilson appeared before Mahoning Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Krichbaum Tuesday morning for a hearing.

Wilson was indicted in the murder of eight-year-old Bryce Linebaugh in August.

The boy was sleeping in his bed when he was shot.

Wilson's attorney filed several motions in the case that will be discussed at a pre-trial next month.
