YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man is found not guilty on Wednesday on charges of abusing a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Closing arguments in the trial against Robert Tovarnak, 47, resulted in a quick verdict from the jury on the case.

Two others were charged in the events following the death of 47-year-old William Lewis.

Co-defendent David Jenkins, 42, still faces the same charges and will appear in court at a later date. Charges were dropped against a juvenile in the case.

Lewis was found in a car on the city's South Side three days after he died from a drug overdose earlier this year.

His body was moved from Jenkins' home after the overdose.

It's believed a saltwater solution and a cleaning fluid was poured in the victim's mouth after he died.
