Girl approached by stranger at bus stop in Warren

Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren mother says her children will no longer walk to their bus stops alone after her daughter says she was approached by a man who ordered her to get in his car.

It happened at the corner of Sussex Street and Trumbull Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Ariel Kellar says she was walking to her bus stop at the corner when a man in a small black car asked her if she had a lighter. When she replied no, Kellar says he told her to get in his car.

"He like really scared me this morning. I was just walking up to the bus stop. He just backed up and rolled down his window and I didn't know what was going to happen, it was just weird," Kellar said.

Shortly after a report was filed, Warren police searched the area but didn't find a suspect.
