Ohio triplets turn 12 on 12/12/12

Updated:

MOUNT GILEAD, Ohio (AP) - Hanna, Hayes and Ryan Bentley have been looking forward to this birthday for years. The Ohio triplets are turning 12 on 12/12/12.

The Mansfield News Journal (http://ohne.ws/YZrdVR ) reports that the trio of Mount Gilead sixth-graders didn't know what their parents have in store for their special birthday Wednesday. But they know they'll be making a weekend trip to a resort in Sandusky to celebrate this weekend.

The triplets were born Dec. 12, 2000, at The Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. They have a younger brother who's 6.

Hanna said she's "always been looking forward to this birthday and how cool it is."

Their mother, Traci Bentley, said they've been anticipating the landmark birthday since they read a newspaper story about a boy turning 10 on 10/10/10.
