BEREA, Ohio (AP) - There were two major topics of conversation after Browns practice - Robert Griffin III, and America's most-watched knee.
The playing status of Washington's exciting rookie quarterback was on everyone's mind as the Browns (5-8) began their practice week for the Redskins (7-6) on Sunday. Griffin sustained a sprained right knee three days ago against Baltimore, and it's not yet known if he will be able to start this week. Griffin practiced Wednesday and the Browns believe he will start an important game for both teams.
Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson said the team is "preparing for (Griffin) to play."
Coach Pat Shurmur says his team will be ready to face Griffin or his backup, Kirk Cousins, who came off the bench and led the Redskins to an overtime win over the Ravens.
