YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A teenager has been hospitalized after being shot during a basketball program at a Youngstown church.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening in the gymnasium of Martin Luther Lutheran Church on the corner of Hudson and Clearmount Drive.
The church had been having its regular basketball program for 15 to 20-year-old boys.
The police sergeant on the scene said a male wearing a mask came into the church and shot one of the teens in the leg.
Police believe the wound is not life threatening.
There were about 25 players in the gym at the time, but no one else was hurt.
